Running log
- February 26, 2026 → February 26, 2026 Started curation run.
- Added a homepage status callout to indicate the run is in progress.
Inventory (initial)
- Homepage is highly stylized and image-heavy; avoid large-scale formatting changes unless necessary.
- Multiple <unknown ... alt="alias"/> blocks appear (potential legacy alias/unsupported blocks) — candidates for cleanup once validated.
- Embedded databases on the homepage:
- Asset Library (full database)
- View of Vocabulary (chart-only view)
- View of Library (currently has no saved views in this linked instance)
Findings (first pass)
- The homepage has two linked-database instances whose names are generic (View of Vocabulary, View of Library). These should be renamed for clarity (e.g., “Vocabulary (Overview)” and “Library (Overview)”), but I will not rename the top-level hub itself without confirmation.
- Potential duplicate pages spotted:
- “Extranet” appears at least twice under Reference → Hardware (two separate pages with the same title).
- “Mastodon Introduction” appears in multiple locations (Reference → Biographical and Internet History → Words of David Blue in Red), suggesting a near-duplicate/fork.
- The Asset Library database is well-structured (Asset name, type, status, tags, etc.). It looks like the right place to consolidate visual/wiki brand assets.
Next actions (queued)
- Verify whether the duplicate-titled pages above are true duplicates (compare content) and either merge or link canonically.
- Audit the <unknown alt="alias"/> blocks on the homepage: resolve to real pages if possible, or remove/replace with standard links once confirmed.
